The Activity Wheel is designed to measure spontaneous activity levels of rats and mice accurately and is suitable for a quantitative measurement over a long period of time. The revolving shaft is equipped with a sensor which detects the revolving direction of the wheel. Further, LCD counter is also provided on the wheel supporting panel. The wheel has a sliding door to restrict movement out of the wheel. The animal can easily access to the living chamber when the door is opened. Water bottle and food cup are provided with the living chamber to meet a long-term measurement. A fully automatic measurement can be done with a PC using an optional DI-064W Interface and CompACT AMS Ver.3 Data Collection/Analysis Software. Up to 64 ch data can be covered by DI-064W Interface. Stainless steel and acrylic are employed to keep the apparatus from rust.
CompACT AMS Ver. 3 Data Collection/Analysis Software
Pulse data sent out from Activity Wheels will be collected and stored with the DI-064W Interface and sent to a personal computer for data analysis. Since all the measurements can be controlled by the DI-064W Interface, a personal computer can be used for another application once the measurement gets started.
